Built in, all the way through
The study nook: built-in oak desk and shelving under the high window.
Oak under the hand,
the skylight finds the green tile,
the house settles in.
A whole-house renovation of an Inner West home: two new bathrooms under skylights, a new stair and oak hallway, bedroom and study joinery, and a rear elevation of charcoal cladding with hardwood steps down to the deck.
Like every house we build, the frame was wrapped in Pro Clima membranes before the linings went on. It’s the layer you never see once the plaster is up, and the one that keeps the draughts and the damp out of the walls.
Under the plaster
The work you won’t see once it’s finished
Photographed before it was covered, because this is the part that keeps the house warm, dry and quiet.
